Price Volatility

Our price is affected by a number of factors such as raw material, exchange rate, and ocean freight. With the price increase in raw material (crude oil, wood pulp, and starch), weakening US dollar, shortage of shipping containers, we are experiencing significant cost fluctuations and thereby being forced to make temporary price adjustment.

Explanation on Ocean Freight Charge

Due to the shortage of shipping containers and increased operation cost, major shipping liners have almost doubled their freight rates. "The cost of shipping a container of goods has risen by 80 percent since early November and has nearly tripled over the past year", according to the Freightos Baltic Index (https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2021/01/24/pandemic-shipping-economy/).

Below is the latest OFC details for each product unit.

Our ocean freight charge reflects the latest rate change from shipping liners. Ocean freight charge (OFC) for each product unit is calculated based on the dimensions of each case.
